A bit of a rough start to July as my dad went home to be with the Lord on June 28th, which happens to be my wife’s birthday. We were supposed to start the month in Kansas but had to cancel to celebrate my dad’s homegoing in Spring Texas on Tuesday morning. We are thankful that we were able to stop in with our friends at Creechville Road Baptist Church on Sunday morning. We spent the evening at our home church Calvary Baptist Church. We are so thankful for everyone that made it out Tuesday morning to pay their respects for my dad. Thankful also that I was able to preach my dad’s service and present the gospel by which we can have that blessed hope.

This week once again led us to Kansas. We had a great time getting to know everyone at Victory Baptist church in Olathe, Pastor Dackin and his wife were a joy and blessed us beyond measure. The evening found us in El Dorado at Temple Baptist Church and Pastor Jones and his wonderful church family made us feel right at home. A big thank you to everyone at both churches for being so kind to our family and we hope to see you all again.

We had a great time Saturday and Sunday with Pastor Dustin Isom, his family, and his church. We met Carlos (pictured below with me) who is from Peru and has surrendered to be a missionary back in his home country after completing Bible College. His mother Carmen (pictured below with my wife) is excited for what God will do through her son. Thank you so much to Dewayne and Manette for the great home to stay in and for allowing us to explore your property. What an awesome church, everyone was such a blessing to our family, and we enjoyed getting to know everyone.

With all the travelling Noah and Serenity don’t get to be part of very many special events, so we are thankful that they could be a part of Rodgers Baptist Church youth conference this week. They had such a good time and got to spend time with young people their age for a couple of days. Missionary Michael Lea to Ecuador was there with his sons as well so we got to meet him and enjoyed getting to know him as well.

It was a great finish to the month of July back in Oklahoma. We got to spend the morning and afternoon in Shawnee with Pastor Stephen Basque and his family. Thank you so much for the fellowship Saturday evening over a meal and we so enjoyed getting to know everyone while eating at your church between services. We drove just a short distance to spend the evening service with Bible Baptist Church in Choctaw. It was great to see everyone and thank you Pastor David Wheatly for allowing me to preach your evening service. It was great to see everyone again and I am sure we will be able to get by again before going to Ecuador.
