December 2025

What a great day in the house of the Lord!  It was such a privilege to stand in the pulpit of my home church, probably for the last time before we go to Ecuador.  As the ultimate goal of what we do is bring the lost to Christ, it was an awesome bonus that we had one receive Christ as her Saviour today.  An added bonus was to see her get baptized in the evening service as baptism is the first step of obedience when someone gets saved and is the public profession of faith.  God is so good!!

As deputation is over for this year and we only have two churches scheduled in January before we leave for Ecuador, it’s time to show our thankfulness.

1.  I am thankful for a faithful God that was always right there with us every step of the way.  We were on deputation seven and a half months last year and eleven and a half this year.  In just eighteen months we are on our way to Ecuador!  What an awesome God we serve.  Although we came up short of the goal we had set, God has given us exactly what we need, and I know that God is more than capable of supplying all of our needs with what he has given us, five loaves and two small fish, and it’s time to feed the multitude.

2. I am thankful for my pastor, brother Todd Ledbetter, our church secretary, Mrs. Pat Yates, and everyone at our church, Calvary Baptist Church in Grandview Texas.  We have such an awesome, loving, and supportive church that lifts us up in prayers continually and that is the fuel that keeps us going.

3.  I am thankful to every church that allowed us to be a part of their family and didn’t take us on for support.  If it wasn’t for your faithfulness to God in blessing missionaries, we could have never crossed the finish line.  The love offerings that you gave us fed us, got us to the next meeting, and sustained us throughout, thank you so much for being such a blessing to our family.

4.  Of course, we are thankful to all of our supporting churches and are so thankful that you have partnered with our church to get the gospel to the people of Ecuador.  Your love, support, gifts, and prayers are cherished, and we are eternally grateful, and we pray for a long and fruitful future together in the Lord.

5.  I am thankful that God gave me the perfect wife to be my help meet.  I am thankful for Noah and Serenity and the sweet spirit they had as they had to travel almost eighty thousand miles since April last year.  I am looking forward to the four of us working together in Cuenca Ecuador.

Thank you all for being a blessing to us!!

We made it through Christmas and God has blessed us beyond measure AGAIN!!  We were blessed to spend the last Sunday of the year with Brother Bubba Mills and his great church, Willow Springs Baptist Church.  It was a pleasure teaching Sunday School and then spending time getting to fellowship with everyone.  The evening service found us in Temple Texas with another great friend, Brother Rick Reed and his great church, Calvary Baptist church.  It was an honor to be in the pulpit and then get to fellowship with everyone after.  A big thank you to both churches for being such a blessing to our family!
