As we go into the new year, we are excited that we will be leaving for Ecuador in three short weeks. We are so thankful for our sending church, and it was such a joy the get to spend time with everyone through the holidays. The sendoff reception for us was such a joy, getting to spend time with everyone one last time before leaving.

We are thankful to get back to Oklahoma one more time before going to Ecuador in two weeks. We had such a great time with Pastor Adam Pearson and his wonderful church family in El Reno Oklahoma. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and we so enjoyed the fellowship, God bless you always.

January 20th and 21st were two tough days emotionally and physically. We packed up everything we could fit in eleven pieces of luggage and packed it all in the car, then left behind friends and relatives that we love dearly. Flight delays coupled with long flights, layovers, and changeovers were a bit frustrating but at around 9:35 am we landed in Guayaquil Ecuador. Our luggage was the first out!! We breezed right through Customs then Immigration with no issues. Missionary Keith Morris and our new friend Danny met us when we came out and it was such a joy to see them. Half of the four-hour drive to Cuenca was a bit rough once we got to the mountains as we drove through dense fog on some pretty bad roads, but finally at about 2:40 pm we were at our destination. God didn’t say it would be easy but he did give us some great prayer warriors over the past two years that got us to the point that we are now at.

We ended the month of January with spending our first week in Ecuador. We met with the Visa lawyer and got that process started. I got a really bad tooth infection Saturday which left me in a lot of pain Sunday and Monday but finally getting over it. My wife slipped and fell on the stairs, God was good as nothing was broken but she did get pretty bruised up. My wife and Serenity made a couple of new friends!! we enjoyed being part of a bible study on Thursday and look forward to God’s path forward for us.
